Umm Lets Keep Going

Ok now they have really taken the cake. Lets just keep twisting that knife in. So now, not only do I have to contend with a pay cut, but now they cutting the hours for position as well. How does a company that strives on customer service all of a sudden take that ability away. Also they aren't doing badly yet we have to take to brunt of whatever it is they are doing.

Needless to say the guests have started to talk, cause they notice the change in atmosphere. Moral is totally in the shitter and the employees are starting to leave in droves. When will my turn be???

Workers Screwed Again

Greetings from corporate land of Darden. I new to this blogging thing and hope this works... I work at a red lobster in Orlando area and felt the rest of you out there need warning of whats coming, if you havent already heard.
Darden has yet again showed how they truly feel about the Red Lobster brand and have under classed us yet again. Starting here in Orlando on July 5th, 2010, your fellow crew members holding positions of bartending and bussing are going to get screwed big time, and of course have no recourse except to quit or move to different position.
The details in brief are as follows:
Bartenders: Well you know how this position was one of merit with raises given accordingly?? Kiss that good bye. Starting here ALL Bartenders will be downgraded to 5 dollars a hour. it dont matter if you worked your way up to 7, 8, 9 or in one case even 14 dollars an hour. We all be downgraded to 5 dollars and hour. Now if that werent bad enough the list goes on. There will be no more 3 to 5 percent of tip out on bar sales. Now I know a industry standard is 2-3 percent of total sales, well in RL land they decided we should be .75 percent of total sales. Has anyone ever heard of a .75 percent tip out??? Anyone here in Orlando this equates to roughly a 5-10,000 dollar a year pay cut depending on your pay rate, and the tip out will not cover the difference.
Bussers: Pay be cut to 4.45 a hour and again only a .75 percent tip out on total sales.
I encourage all to call corporate and your district managers etc and express your concern, as we are trying what we can here.. Any suggestions??
